The Gad Brothers: A Story of Passion and Italian Tradition
The story of Osteria al 29 is also the story of two brothers who moved to Milan at the young age of 18, driven by the dream of building a future through hard work and a passion for cooking.
Their journey began under the guidance of Salvatore, a true Neapolitan restaurateur who mentored, trained, and inspired them for over 25 years. He passed on the values of authentic Neapolitan cuisine: respect for ingredients, attention to detail, and a deep love for homemade dishes—the kind that tell stories of family and tradition.
Over the years, the brothers embraced not only the secrets of real Neapolitan pizza, but also a wide variety of Italian recipes, from Naples specialties to the diverse flavors of Italy’s many regions.
Today, they proudly carry this knowledge forward, aiming to make every guest feel at home, in a warm and authentic setting where grandma’s cooking meets the experience of those who truly love this craft.
